The Real Estate Investment Trust Association (REISA) changed its name to the Alternative Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA) last month at its annual conference.
Conference attendees, including Interlinked, packed Caesar Palace, Las Vegas, conference rooms and discussed educational topics such as alternative investment due diligence, advocacy on regulation, and ethics, as well as partook in fun networking.
Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer John Harrison said since the organization has seen 10 percent growth year after year, the name change sets the stage for long term growth. Harrison said it’s exciting to see how the industry has grown and how the association has grown with it.
As the alternative investment industry is constantly changing and growing beyond much more than real estate, the new name offers a broader scope to the association.
ADISA Interim President, Mark Kosanke, said the new name represents the hard work of the board and other members of the association.
“We really represent all of the alternative and direct investments in the securities world,” Kosanke said.
The conference’s main floor was vibrant and full of energy as the who’s who in the industry mingled, while others were in the hallways having private conversations and making deals on the spot.
It is because of these individual discussions and relationship-building that some of the most valuable business opportunities have emerged. For more information, please visit: http://www.adisa.org/
